Digital financial assets (DFA) are financial assets in digital format, the automatic execution of which is ensured by blockchain technology. The issue and circulation of digital financial assets is regulated by Federal Law No. 259-FZ of July 31, 2020 "On Digital Financial Assets, Digital Currency, and Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation." DFAs allow companies to raise funds at a lower cost and in a shorter time frame than traditional methods such as issuing shares or bonds. For investors, digital financial assets provide accessibility, transparency, and ease of use, as well as allowing for portfolio diversification and offering a high level of security.
